Hurricane yawn…

It seems a bit odd here today. Collier County has declared a state of emergency and we are in the hurricane warning area, yet it is basically business as usual. Schools are open, businesses and homes are not boarded up, it’s just another day.

It has been windy since last night and it should pick up quite a bit during the day. It seems that people have a bit too much faith in the forecasters. I’m not quite sure why, their track record of predicting paths of these things is far from stellar.
