If today is any indication

If today, the first day of early voting in Florida, is any indication of voter turnout, we are going to be in for a big one.  All day the line at the election office has been out the door backed up 50 feet.  Of course I don’t think there was hardly a soul in the line under the age of 65.  I don’t get it.  They have two full weeks of early voting.  Why rush there and stand in a line as long as you would stand in on the actual election day?

Over the week end the local newspaper made their official presidential endorsement.  Ali and I were SHOCKED when we read that the Naples Daily News backed OBAMA!  The Naples area as well as most of SW Florida is hard core republican due to it’s mix of old farts and big money.  Hell, the sheriff of Lee county directly to our north was the moron that pulled the “Barrack HUSSEIN Obama” stunt a week or two ago.  To see the Naples paper back Obama is jaw dropping to say the least.  I am sure they will be bombarded with letter after letter that contains somewhere in the body “I will never read your paper again”.
