Gross, equipped

Our old cat Spook has developed yet another disgusting behavior.  Her fur coat is very shaggy nowadays,  more so than normal.  Well Spook has decided to take it upon herself to thin the coat out.  She does this by pulling clumps of hair out of the shaggy area with her mouth.  She doesn’t seem to mind the mouths full of hair that she gets in the process.  It just gives her more ammo to fire furballs all over the carpet later.  She does this to excess.  Over the weekend the one corner of the office looked like a chicken was murdered there.  The clumps of fur were everywhere.  The hope I hold in the back of my mind is this the first signs of Spook coming down with a terminal hair pulling disease.

After my at home training yesterday I decided to put my new seat and bike rack on my road bike.  When I installed the new seat I shifted it all the way back to give my legs some more extension.  I rode it around a bit to see how it felt.  It felt different but I’m not sure if it was in a good way or not.  Having the seat back that far means the lean forward I do is more severe which puts more pressure on the hands.  I’ll have to put it through a more extensive test.  The rack is easy to install and remove if necessary.  It adds a couple pounds to the weight of the bike but nothing I should notice much.

Yesterday I did an EA Active workout over my lunch break.  I decided to try out the Wii Remote that Sadie used as a chew toy. Amazingly it still works.   I’m still going to be getting a new remote but at least I know that in a pinch the mangled unit can be called into service.
