Forgot
I forgot to mention that I finished Deception Point Wednesday night. I thoroughly enjoyed the book. Among Dan Brown books that I have read I would probably follow the general consensus where Angels & Demons and DaVinci Code sit at the top with Digital Fortress and Deception Point sitting slightly lower on the pedestal.
I finally got to watch one of my favorite Winter Olympic sports yesterday, curling. I just find the sport fascinating because it’s so bizarre. These grown men playing big boy shuffleboard on ice makes me laugh out loud. The best part is when the commands are yelled down to the sweepers which are typically “HARD!” “WOAH, WOAH!” or “NO!” Hard means they should sweep like mad to smooth the ice in front of the stone to alter it’s path. WOAH and NO means no sweeping, the stone should be ok as is.
I was watching the USA/Denmark match. It was a nail biter which was blown by the US when they misfired on what should have been an easy clear on their last attempt. The errant stone was pushed by the chubby leader of the US team. As soon as he let it go he knew he f’d up. You could tell since he immediately started yelling HARD, HARD! Oh well, it’s still fun to watch.
This weekend I will be watching a short ballet performance Ali is in, attending the Pet Lover’s Ball and futzing around the house.
