Flyers in finals, lights out while light out
Wow the Flyers took care of businesses last night, knocking off the Canadians in 5 games. No, I still have not seen a game. I wish I was more into hockey so I could share more in the excitement. It’s an amazing turn of events for a team that just barely squeezed into the playoffs.
I had a pleasant surprise last night when I got home. First, the Camry was in the garage, meaning Ali actually got home before me, a rare occurrence. Then as I walked in the door I am greeted by the smell of fresh chocolate chip cookies! Wow, how awesome is this? On top of that the trash cans were already out front and laundry was being done. It was great.
Unfortunately I was feeling less than great. I had that feeling in my throat that often is a precursor to illness. Ali dropped an Airborne in a glass of water for me. All night I was feeling very low energy. I packed it in for the night extremely early. I was showered and in bed around 8:30, it was actually still light outside. After reading my Wired magazine for a few minutes my eyes got real heavy and I was out. I woke up today feeling ok.
I’m hoping for a quick recovery from my various joint ailments. I feel sort of useless at the gym right now. I miss pull ups, dead lifts, power cleans and running.
