Screwed
I noticed yesterday I had a screw in my front tire of the Tacoma. I thought maybe it was a short screw that didn’t puncture all the way through. I started to back it out slowly and immediately heard the warning HISSSSSSs so I turned it back in.
I left work about an hour early to go get it fixed. The place I bought the tires from offer a lifetime repair on these sort of things so I figured I would go back there. When I went to the front desk I wasn’t thrilled to hear that it would take 60-90 minutes to get it finished. Oh well, if it’s free I can’t complain much.
Imagine my surprise when no less than 15 minutes later they tell me my truck is done. What a pleasant surprise. It’s always a good thing to under promise and over deliver.
Speaking of getting screwed, I was on the phone with my brother yesterday originally for a problem he was having with his printer. The conversation turned to his divorce or lack there of as it often does. He has been separated for somewhere around three and a half years, trying to get divorced.
The details of the situation are far too insane to outline in any blog. Let’s just say my sister-in-law is doing everything you could imagine to make the process miserable. She is simply a bad person.
However there is another culprit in this drama, Todd’s lawyer. From the accounts Todd has given me he has done nothing but try to extend the legal process as long as possible to maximize his cut of the pie. Todd has paid insane money to this chump to basically do nothing but prolong this agony again and again.
Todd originally got this lawyer because someone told him he was “good”. Well there is no question in my mind this guy is not doing a good job with Todd’s case. Multiple people have suggested to Todd that this lawyer may be doing more harm than good. For the most part Todd has agreed yet he has resisted telling the jerk to f off.
Knowing Todd, I think he feels like he has invested so many dollars into this lawyer that dumping him and starting over with someone else would be like flushing those dollars away and also slow down the process. I pointed out to him at this point the process is basically at a dead stop, it isn’t moving forward at all. If anything this is the perfect time to cut his losses and start fresh with a lawyer that might actually care about doing what is best for their client.
I actually got several names of divorce lawyers recommended to me that I am going to forward to him. Hopefully he at least talks to somebody else. I wish I could wave a wand and fix this mess for him. The best I can do at this point is try to push him towards dumping his dead weight lawyer.
OMG I missed the LeBron TV show, damn. I am sort of surprised he went to Miami. How do you like the Cavaliers owner spewing venom now that James is going? Wow, talk about sour grapes, pretty unprofessional.
Ali is going to be out of town this weekend. I have a weekend full of hard partying on tap.
