Harvest, 6 two ways
Yesterday we harvested items from both our garden and our orchard. I grabbed about a half dozen huge Myers lemons as well as a single, bright orange tangerine. We also snipped lettuce and swiss chard from the garden. So far the crops in the garden seem to be progressing nicely.
Last night I got a box from Amazon. Inside were 6 two way walkie talkies. I ordered them for use by the running club at our races. They are Motorola radios with a range of up to 35 miles (if you have no line of site issues). Even in an urban area with large buildings you should get a couple miles of range. I am hoping in flat, sleepy Naples we can get somewhere in between the two numbers.
I unpacked the radios and tried them out with Ali. I walked to the back fence line and she could hear me clear as day inside the house. By the end of the night Ali was a bit annoyed with my continued testing while she was trying to catch up on Dancing with the Stars. The radios will be put into use for the first time officially on Thanksgiving day for the Gobble Gobble 4 Miler.
I am still feeling like my energy level and stamina is low. I recall having something similar a year or two ago that dragged on for a long time. I am hoping to shake this much sooner rather than later. It is not the the way I like to feel day in and day out.
How long do you think it is before North Korea does something really stupid? Sure seems like it is only a matter of time and not that much of it.
