How could I forget to mention

I can’t believe I forgot to mention that good old Dick Clark passed away yesterday at the ripe age of 82.

It definitely was for the best.  Anyone that reads my blog knows how much I was bothered by Dick dragging himself in front of the camera year after year since his stroke on his New Year’s Rockin Eve show.

It was admirable that he did it the first year, after that it became nothing but an embarrassment.  Obviously Dick’s ego was unaffected by the stroke.

The physical transformation that took place after his stroke was one of the most shocking I can ever recall seeing.  It was literally like he aged 25 years overnight.

Well I no longer will have to complain about Dick slurring the countdown.  It would have been nice if he had the sense to gracefully take himself out of the picture instead of letting mother nature do the dirty work.

Rest well Dick, despite your sad last years you made a huge contribution to the entertainment industry during your half century+ time in the business.
