Blog book, Camo Santa
For quite a long time I had wondered what my blog would be like if it was turned into a book. Well yesterday thanks to the free site, blogbooker.com, I was able to find out. After exporting my site and feeding it into BlogBooker, I had a sequential pdf book of my blog, dating all the way back to it’s origin in 2002.
I expected 12+ years of blog entries to add up to a decent sized book. I did not expect it to be 4972 pages long, holy shit. I took some time to read the first 50 pages or so. It’s interesting contrasting how and what I wrote about then versus now. Obviously a lot of things can change over that period of time. If you have a month or so to kill, you are welcome to try getting through the entire novel.
Last night was busy, I had a number of small things to attend to. I got a little bit of a late start since I stopped at Ali’s place on the way home to pick up the pressure washer that she borrowed. I felt bad seeing the girls so briefly but I assured them I would see them in two days for another fun extended visit.
One of those things I wanted to get done was to get the other corny Xmas decoration we bought at Lowes set up, Camo-Santa. Camo-Santa is wearing camouflage appropriately and has a set of binoculars that he raises and lowers to his eyes. It is absolutely tacky and silly which is perhaps why I liked it.
I set Santa up on the landing by the front door, hoping to avoid another fire ant attack similar to what killed my inflatable snowman last year. I can officially declare that this year the house is the most decorative ever. I can only attribute this to Cindy who brings out and encourages my inner child who still remembers the fun part of Christmas.
Because of schedule conflicts, Cindy’s daughter and mom are supposed to come over tonight for an early Christmas celebration. It’s too bad we couldn’t have done it Christmas Eve or on the big day itself but I guess you need to just go with the flow.
