50, Ink it up
Last night after work as I was doing chicken maintenance I actually worked a total of 50 pull ups in as well. You may recall last week that when I tried to do pull ups at the gym it reaggravated my back spasms. I was quite happy to get through 50 reps last night with no reoccurrence of the pain. So far I am carefully optimistic about how my first week of workouts have been going in 2015. I have been doing some more extensive and targeted treatment/maintenance to address some of my problems that plagued me below the belt in 2014. It seems to be helping.
I ordered a few Green Machine Timing shirts yesterday online. Of course when you are ordering in tiny quantities your per unit cost is sky high. I figured it was an investment. I bought high quality, tri-blend shirts that someone would actually want to wear which hopefully results in free advertising for me down the road.
As the half marathon nears my anxiety starts to build. I need to make sure I do everything possible to make the the event run well in the aspects that I am in charge of. This morning I decided I want to put a label on each runners bib which will include their information as well as a custom QR code they can scan to go straight to their results online after the race. It will require affixing a label to well over 2000 race bibs but I think the race participants will appreciate the effort.
