Pissed not productive
This is what I was greeted with when I got home last night.
Awhile back I started scheduling my Roombas to fire off and run at 4:30 twice a week. It was cool because they would run and finish before I got home. I enjoyed coming home to nicely vacuumed rugs. Well of course the f’ing cats could not allow me to enjoy this for long.
One of the cats, more than likely Buttons was kind enough to leave a nice huge pile of barf by our bedroom door. What you see is what happens when a Roomba runs over vomit. It was an incredible mess. The tracks you see here also continued into our bedroom.
Needless to say I was furious when I saw this disaster. Buttons was stupid enough to act like there was nothing wrong and started her normal MEOW MEOW MEOW when I came in, indicating she was waiting for me to feed her. Well I was not happy. I walk over to her in the kitchen and perform what has now become one of my favorite maneuvers, sliding her across the floor while spinning her violently. I yell at her to “GET THE F OUT OF MY SIGHT!” The cat scampers off to shelter.
I spend my first 20 minutes home cleaning vomit, cleaning at least 20 spots on the rug, cleaning vomit that is caked on the Roombas. It was just delightful. I was so f’ing pissed off. Finally I get done cleaning up the excrement and after gathering the garbage (which in my mood annoyed me some more cause normally Ali does that) I started to work on the animal food. I do the cat food first. Buttons hears me working on the food and tries to sneak around the kitchen island to get to the utility room. I see her just as she is in the middle of the kitchen floor. I scream at her some more. She does a hilarious abrupt stop and sprawl. She spins her wheels as she tries to get traction on the ceramic tile and runs away again with Nicki chasing her from behind. I encourage Nicki to eat the cat. Buttons was smart enough to stay out of my site for awhile after that.
So if all goes well, I will be picking up the monster TV after work. Last minute I decided to give myself a long weekend as well, taking off next Monday and Tuesday. I plan to use the time to finalize the HDTV transformation. The HDTV Tivo is supposed to show up Monday, the Comcast installer comes out Tuesday. I am also thinking about picking out a front door over the weekend and I am half thinking about tackling the installation job myself. I would also like to get out to see Iron Man sometime this weekend.
On Sunday we will be taking the old tv to mom’s place prior to a nice Mother’s Day lunch at Carraba’s. I am going to have to be creative in my approach to getting the tv on and off the truck, it’s 5 feet tall, about 5 feet wide, 2 feet deep and about 225 pounds. I have ramps for my truck but they are intended for wheeling motorcycles or tractors, not tv’s. I’ll figure something out. Right now I am envisioning a plan using the ramps, some wood and my utility cart.

Maybe the cat wouldn’t puke as much if you stopped spinning her so violently
