From the back of the van

Yep bluetoothing from the van through my Treo.  It’s amazing how my sense of what is near and far since moving to Florida has changed.  When we lived in PA if you told me I was going all the way from A&M’s in Wernersville all the way out to the townhouse in Flying Hills, I would tell you that is very far, almost a crazy far way to go for a sandwich.  However since moving to Florida where most anything takes 40 minutes to get to, I now realize that I was actually close to almost everything.  That “long” drive from Wernersville to Flying Hills took maybe 20 minutes, less than half of what my daily commute takes.

Hell even the drive to the Philly airport didn’t seem all that far where as 10 years ago it would have felt tons longer.  Sadly, the 8 years in Florida hasn’t made the 1200 miles drive to and from PA any shorter feeling.

Our target for today is Georgia which will leave us a manageable drive for tomorrow. I HATE getting back from a trip and having to go to work immediately the next day.  There wasn’t much I could do to avoid it this time though with the way schedules worked out.
