So I hadn’t shaved since last Friday, I had a good jump on beard action by the time Ali got back home on Tuesday. Last night after I took a shower I decided to shave it off, I had enough facial hair fun. I came out and said to Ali, “Look, I shaved!” Ali said she didn’t even notice that I had facial hair going on. She had been home for over 24 hours and did not notice I had hair on my face. I was sort of amazed by this but after quickly expressing my disbelief that she would not notice I dropped it. I guess it is all part of the magic of being married almost 10 years.

Just going to get it off my chest because this post is annoying me. Before I left I cleaned which Shawn didn’t comment on until prompted, then I spent 4 days at an exhausting conference, drove 2 hours, had a frustrating day at work, saw Shawn for a little while I worked on reconciling my receipts on Tues night, didn’t see him all day Wednesday, then Wed night while I’m in the middle of my 3 hour cooking bonanza he starts this issue that I didn’t notice he shaved his 1/4″ ‘beard’ – even though he didn’t notice my highlights that I just had done. Isn’t it the man’s role to have to put up with the naggy wife and the “you didn’t notice…” comments? OK, I feel better – now I can go on with my day. 🙂
