Too many words, ER
Jeremy commented that although yesterdays entry was fascinating, it needed some pictures to break up all of the words. I agreed, although I didn’t have any pictures of the decorations to post yesterday. I took some last night. Here is our fake tree in all of it’s glory. It looks quite nice doesn’t it? I walked around and took a bunch of pics with my Iphone. The rest of them are posted here.
Ali and I have been faithful ER watchers for years. This is the last season of the show. As part of it’s farewell tour they are bringing back some of the old cast for cameo appearances. It’s been great seeing some of the old characters. It got me thinking about what seemed to be a recurring theme for the show.
The ER cast has turned over like crazy over the years and I never quite understood it. It always seemed to me that the actors left the show with the intention of going on to bigger and better things but except for George Clooney, I can’t really think of anyone that it has worked out for.
I mean the list goes on and on of actors that played great roles on the show that have all but disappeared since leaving, Anthony Edwards, Eric LaSalle, Noah Wyle, Julianna Margulies, and many, many more. I mean maybe I am totally misguided. Maybe these actors didn’t get big heads and think they had stardom awaiting on the big screen. Maybe they were forced out because the producers deemed their character was getting stale.
Somehow, even with having a revolving door of cast members the show has managed to remain compelling through all of those years. It will be sad to see it all end.
