Lightbox lit, audio copyright shit
Lightbox is java code that will bring a picture front and center while darkening the background for easier viewing. It’s a cool effect that can be used on blogs as well. Jeremy wanted it for his blog that has something do with jeans and he asked me if I ever tried it which I hadn’t. So I tried installing the plug in for it.
Well a couple days later I posted an entry that had a picture in it. When I reviewed it I noticed that the lightbox effect was now indeed working on the digest page, imagine that. Why it now works I do not know or do not care. I’m sure you don’t either.
YouTube recently kicked a couple of my videos offline because BMG claimed copyrights to the music in them. I mean come on, what a bunch of assholes. Am I in anyway profiting from using their music in the video? If anything it’s free advertising for the artists. YouTube tries to make changing the music as painless as possible by offering to swap out the music with music from artists that have enough smarts to realize that being on YouTube is a GOOD thing. Here are links to two of the videos that got redone. It sort of messes up the flow of them but eh, who cares.
