3 days of Luck

So I got home yesterday to be greeted by a very excited Lucky.  When I opened up the door to the back yard Lucky was off like a shot. He sprinted across the yard repeatedly like he was an energy balloon that just had it’s neck untied.  It was so funny.

He ran around for a good 10 or 15 minutes.  At one point he came right at me full speed and jumped, almost knocking me over.

When we finally went back inside I saw that 10 hours inside was a bit too long for him as I saw he pee’d in the bedroom.  It’s longer than he is normally left alone so I didn’t bother to try to correct him. I just pulled out the rug cleaner and cleaned the spot thoroughly.

Don got out to the house around 7:30 or so.  I was outside walking around with Lucky when he pulled up.  I figured Lucky would appreciate one last chance to run around freely. (he did)

I gave Don Luckys report card which was all good besides the small bathroom incident.  Don was very surprised that Lucky went on so many road trips without losing his lunch once.  We loaded up Lucky’s bed, food and toys and they we were on their way.  Obviously Lucky is welcome to come out at anytime, the house felt particularly empty last night after he left.

So we are now in countdown mode to the big Thanksgiving race where somewhere close to 2500 people are going to collapse into a relatively small area.  Ali and I have a large role in trying to make the event go as smoothly as possible.  Last year was quite chaotic, I am hoping we can keep things a bit more under control this year.  I plan on getting on site ridiculously early to make sure I get things up and going.
