Cat Update

Somehow I neglected to put in a cat update.  The first couple days after her episode, Buttons was a wreck.  She literally didn’t move for the first day, she just laid in the same spot in the utility room.  By the second day she would try to move but was unable to take more than a step or two until she had to sit down and rest.  When she attempted to walk it almost looked like everything in her back half was rusted.  Yesterday was the first day that she seemed to be getting back to somewhat normal.  She was actually able to walk all the way back to her normal hang out spot in our bedroom.  This morning she actually made her way over to the guest bathroom to get her normal morning “drippies” after I washed my hair.  We are no longer putting down dry food at all.  I put down a can of Fancy Feast in the morning and in the evening.  Yesterday I started giving her insulin again although only half her normal dose.  I will slowly increase it as I see further improvement from her. As much as I have complained about her, I definitely took pity on the cat and have been treating her with kid gloves since the siezure.
