Heroes 2.0 finale

So the second season of Heroes wrapped up last night.  Much like last season’s finale there were some strange things that happened that didn’t quite make sense.  Two heroes bit the dust in the finale, Nathan Petrelli and the bi-polar on steroids chick, Nicki.  The Nicki character never did much for me, losing her off the show doesn’t break my heart at all.

Nathan dying at the end didn’t make much sense.  He gets shot because he is going to reveal his secrets, however the other two heroes at the podium, his brother Peter and Parkman the chubby mind reading cop are just fine.  Would killing Nathan somehow magically super glue shut the lips of the other two??  Plus it was established that Nathan got a blood transfusion from Adam which allowed him to heal the horrible burns he got from trying to save Peter in last season’s finale.  Adam has the power of self regeneration, you basically can’t kill him.    I thought it had sort of been established that once you get this super blood in you you maintain the ability to self heal.  If this was the case, Nathan should have been able to burp out the bullets and be just fine. Well whatever.  Syler now has his powers back, watch out.

In general I enjoyed this season quite a bit, probably not quite as much as season 1.  They need to trim down the story lines a bit.  Trying to maintain all those plots in a one hour show filled with way too many commercials just is too confusing.  They need to kill off a few more heroes.  Parkman could go as well as the little kid that talks to electronics and the black girl that has photographic muscle memory.
