End of days

I could not believe the video of the flash flooding in Nepal yesterday. It legit looked like a scene from an end of days film. The speed, volume, and violence of the water crashing down the mountain was insane. In the videos you would see people running frantically to escape the water only to be swallowed up moments later. The original explanation was it was caused by an earthquake but later it seems to actually be what the earthquake caused. Supposedly a huge piece of a glacier broke off and free fell somewhere around a kilometer before exploding into a body of water below. Just imagine how much speed it picked up falling that far. What an awful tragedy.

Despite not taking any sort of nighttime cold medicine or Unisom, I woke up this morning feeling like I took both. The desire to stay in bed and sleep for a couple more hours was almost overwhelming. I feel like the illness I have been dealing with for a week or so has really kicked my ass. Despite this I was back at the gym on Monday and Tuesday which included deadlifts followed by my first pickelball session in a week yesterday. It’s a weird dynamic that in order to maintain some degree of mental wellness I require physical activity/wellness. One doesn’t exist without the other.
