Rub me

After having a week off during my Dad’s visit I have the pleasure of stepping right back into a three day weekend thanks to MLK day on Monday. (yea, you want a government job)  The weekend will be pretty busy.  I will be going to the NDN Half Marathon on Sunday to help out with the timing.  I am not doing the timing for this race although I certainly could.  The biggest reason I’m not is because of the DAG chips habit of having a few fail every race.  This race is too high profile for that sort of stuff to happen. It’s supposed to be quite chilly Sunday morning.  I won’t make the same mistake I did last year where I was woefully under-dressed for the temperatures.  I spent the entire race chilled to the bone, it was miserable.

On Saturday I am going for a massage.  I got gift certificates for two of them for Christmas/birthday.  I have had very few professional massages in my life.  I can probably count them on one hand.  I always enjoy them immensely but have had very few of them because of the costs involved.  I’ve always been massaged by a woman. I couldn’t do the man thing.  I have various body parts that could use some attention.  I’m looking forward to it.

Sunday afternoon is the big game.  I’ll be glued to the TV from 3 o’clock on.  It would be a fantastic thing for the fairy tale to continue.

Not only is Randall coming over for Ali’s 6k race at the end of the month, there is a possibility that Jeremy could be coming over as well.  He could be serving as the official race photographer.  He does that sort of stuff on the side.  It could make for a fun time.  I have already thrown down the Wii gauntlet, challenging both of them to no holds barred, brutal electronic battle.  They both may have a few years on me but I have a few tricks up my sleeve, like making them sleep in the same bed.
