Peppered, 2 Billion

Yesterday Ali was off work.  She also is going to be able to take off Friday.  Her work schedule is finally swinging more in line with what it was supposed to be when she started contracting.

Ali was able to get the grass mowed yesterday since she was off.  It was quite nice to come home to a unjunglified yard. She also had the time to prepare a different type of dinner, stuffed peppers.

This meal was extra special because the peppers came from our garden.  Ali told me that when she was preparing the meal she was looking for the sticker on the peppers to pull off.  They looked so good she forgot we grew them ourselves.

I never ate stuffed peppers before in my life even though I recall my mom preparing them over the years.  In general I am not a big pepper fan.  I was more open to trying them out since we grew these peppers ourselves.

A lot of times peppers are stuffed with some sort of hamburger like concoction.  Ali stuffed ours with a combination of rice, beans, corn and some other stuff.  We also opted to not put any tomato sauce on them.  The stuffed pepper was good after I hit them with a bit of salt to spice them up a bit.

We have at least a half dozen more peppers growing right now so we will have to come up with some more creative recipes.  I am thinking maybe making them again with veggie crumbles and tomato sauce next time for comparison.

I am approaching the end of season 2 of Dexter.  I am thoroughly enjoying the show.  Jeremy and Randall were spot on with both their comparisons of Dexter to me  and knowing I would like the show.

I read that there will be an estimated 2 BILLION people that will tune in to see the Royal Wedding.  Wow, what a statement about humanity.  I am doing my part to buck the trend.  I couldn’t even tell you the names of the couple.  All I know is the dude has a bad case of premature baldness. I won’t watch a single second.  I could care less.
