Crossing and dotting
So as planned last night I was buzzing around the house attending to various pre-roadtrip needs. I will be putting in a half day at work today and then heading home to resume prep.
One of the many things I did last night was pack up my Phantom is this SWEET travel case that is specifically designed for it and the typical accessories that go with the quad. The case has a foam cut out for EVERYTHING I have and then some. The case will make taking the Phantom out for various aerial sorties much more practical and much less risky.
Checking out the current weather conditions in the northeast do not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling since they are getting smacked with yet another nasty storm. However if there is any good news to be taken from it, the area my dad lives is out of the dumping area. Unfortunately we have to drive through a lot of dumping area to get there. My optimistic thought is that by the time we are hitting those areas later in the day tomorrow enough time will have passed for road conditions to improve.
Depending on how well or poorly the drive goes, we may be stopping by to say hi to my sister briefly in State College on route to Marienville.
The van will be pulling out well before sunrise tomorrow to get a good headstart on the roughly 1300 miles we will be covering in two days of driving. Another 7 days of road trip memories will begin getting forged shortly. Onward.
