Rent a Mac, more conventional

macincloudSo yesterday I was trying to manually publish my Dufisthenics app to the Apple Store.  I followed the well written instructions on the Conduit website to do so.  Things were cruising along until I got to the point where you actually upload the app to the store for evaluation.  For some stupid reason, the only way Apple allows you to do this is via a Mac only app, you can’t simply upload the file via your web browser. I’m not sure if this is just an effort to get people to buy more Apple hardware or just to be annoying.

Well I don’t own a Mac.  Cindy’s daughter has one so I thought of that as a possible remedy to my problem.  However as usual, I found another solution after a few Google searches.

I was directed to http://macincloud.com  It is a site where you rent time on a Mac.  The service was cheap and easy to set up.  The Macs you connect to already have the things app developers need, including the app needed to upload to the Apple Store, sweet.

I have very limited knowledge of the Mac OS but everytime I am forced into it it just seems klutzy to me.  Of course 20 years of Windows has surely jaded me but it just feels like I can get things done faster on a Windows 7 desktop than OS X.

I managed to slog my way through it and got my app sent to Apple.  The cost for me to rent the Mac was a dollar, can’t beat that.

Last night was what used to be a conventional night for me.  I got home and did a BB challenge and then another Vine compilation (I’m over 100)  For whatever reason I seem to not be getting in hardly any weeknight workouts, something I was doing most days awhile ago.  It seems like I just have something else that is commanding my attention most nights.  I do like my at home workouts, without them I feel sort of soft and lazy.
