Pool passed, Cougher

Well the pool cage passed the inspection yesterday.  When Ali called and told me I said “Good, now I can rip those braces off”  She surprised me by saying she thought I should leave them up.  She said their appearance didn’t bother her as much as it did me plus if it strengthens the cage corners she would rather leave them there.  Ok, whatever, less work for me.  I still think they look shitty.

I decided to pad my already long weekend and took Monday off as well.  Ali and I are talking about going to the county water park that day.  I invited mom along as well, hopefully she accepts.

As usual I have a bunch of stuff I would like to get done this weekend.  However I will have an unusually extended period of time to get it done in which will be nice.

There is this old man that goes to the gym that coughs all the time.  On Monday I was doing my 300 and was in the midst of just feeling extremely exhausted and irritable.  Every time I heard this son of a bitch cough it was like jabbing me with a pin.  I mean it was every minute or so.  If I had no internal governors I would have screamed “Stop the f’ing coughing for God’s SAKE!”  Take some cough drops or something, geez.

Man this race tomorrow morning is going to be a bitch.  We have almost 400 people already signed up and expect to get at least a couple hundred walk ups.  It will be a zoo.  If I manage to time this one successfully almost all of the other races should be easy in comparison.

It sounds like my brother might be coming down to visit the same time as my sister is in early August.  It would be pretty cool to have the whole gang here at once.  I think we will have a lot of fun. 

I think today’s Year Ago post is interesting.  I still feel the same way.
