Tapped out, Two days plus

I officially had to tap out of playing in the pickleball tournament. My injured right knee is just not healing fast enough to consider playing Saturday as even a remotely good idea. If I tried to play in 48 hours a couple things would likely happen. First I would not play well. If you can’t move at least a little bit it’s very difficult to have any success playing. Right now just slow measured steps takes effort. Quick changes of direction that are part of every pickleball game would just not work. Second I would wind up injuring myself even more which could have more serious consequences. I am supposed to be rolling out on a road trip the following weekend. Trying to do that with a destroyed knee would be absolutely miserable.

The only reason I did not immediately drop out of the tournament was I felt an obligation to my partner Brian to give it a go. I HATE letting people down that I make a commitment to. So even though I hate to back out, I have to. I am frustrated that I ignored some of the signs that I should have backed off playing last weekend. If I did not play last Saturday I likely would have been good to go this weekend.

My Creator 5 Pro is closing in on completing one of my longest and most detailed prints ever, a robo-octopus. This articulated model has incredible detail and use of color. Even with the wonders of multi-head 3D printing this model will have taken roughly two and a half DAYS to complete. Yea, it’s a long print.

There have been some odd issues with the CP5 that I need to mention in my review video but the fact that it can complete a print like this is a big feather in it’s cap.

Elsa had another stand alone episode of diarrhea and throwing up yesterday. It seems to happen every 7-10 days, another side effect of her kidney issues. We just keep rolling along day by day with her dealing with the issues as they come. I wish I could wave a magic wand and roll back the clock to a time when she didn’t have to deal with such things. Every time I see her happy or excited nowadays it gives me more joy than normal.
