Performing duties

Although we have 3 other people on the HOA board, a lot of the handling of things comes through me since I am the only one who appears to access the property management company website and I also get emails sent to the HOA address. So there have been a few requests/complaints that have come in that I have tried to field. If it’s something I can address directly I would prefer to do so for efficiency sake, example in point the tattered flag that I replaced at the entrance.

Evidently some idiot thought it would be funny to pry off a T on one of the signs that frame the entrance to the community. At first I had no idea how to remedy this but then I came up with a potential solution. I took a picture of the sign and asked AI to tell me what font was being used which it was able to do instantly. I measured the other T to get an idea of the size needed.

I was able to do a test print just to see how good of a match it will be. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty good. I will be printing the permanent replacement material out of ASA, a filament type that is very UV resistant and appropriate for outdoor use. Regular PLA would degrade pretty quickly. Hopefully by the end of the weekend the sign will be back to normal.

The lights that illuminate this sign were also out. I found a switch that controls them turned off in a control box, likely done by the same idiot. I will make that box more difficult to access this weekend as well.

In addition to the sign restoration project I have several other things I would like to get done this weekend. I need to do my wrap up video where I summarize my feelings about the V14 Pro. I normally will take more time in making this type of content as it typically is the video that gets the most eyeballs.

I would like to play some pickleball but that will depend on how my lower body feels. I did weighted lower body work this week for the first time since I screwed up my knee and have been paying the price with bad soreness afterward. It’s normal but makes playing pickleball not that easy. I could start work on the other side of the fence but I would much prefer to do something like that on an extended weekend.

Oh, I only have one more character to get to max level on my first WoW account, in case you were keeping track. I have three more on the second account to keep me busy next.
