First hurdle
I just returned from a four day work conference in Orlando. The conference from an IT perspective had less content than prior years so there were multiple examples of dead space for me during the day. One of the times I used that time to supercharge my Tesla. Other times I just relaxed in the room. As usual the conference included more drinking and much more eating than normal which always leaves me feeling a little bit gross.
I did use full self driving for almost the entire drive up and back to/from Orlando which was a godsend. Allowing the car to deal with the three and a half hour drive makes such a difference in how you feel by the end of it. Sure you need to keep aware of the road around you but you are alleviated of the stress of dealing with traffic, making sure you don’t miss a turn and instead get to have an experience more akin to being a passenger. I have driven hundreds of thousands of miles in my lifetime. I’m here to tell you that FSD makes my life better.
So after arriving home last night one of the tasks I had to do was get the living space ready for the fantasy football party I am hosting tonight. Everything feels rushed, hopefully I don’t forget something important. The living space looks different than prior years since I have a different sofa. I also am utilizing the kitchen table which I did not have last year at this time either.
So after an expected late night tonight where I won’t get to bed until close to midnight I took tomorrow off to prep to drive back to Orlando for a quick Labor Day weekend Disney trip. We will get there Friday evening and come back Monday so it will be a pretty busy weekend with us hitting two parks during that time period. Luckily I also took Tuesday off to give me a day to recuperate from what will have been a very busy 10 days.
Alison is once again watching Elsa for this trip but this time she is also watching Mia, my girlfriends dog. The two of them are together pretty much every day so we think it will be better for both of them. Ali and Shugs love dogs and Mia is very friendly so I don’t think it will be too bad at all.
While I was away Elsa’s health was pretty much the status quo of some good and some not so good. Once I get through this crazy period I will be contacting the vet to give us an assessment of where we stand.
